Terms of Service

Welcome to PlaySora (“we,” “our,” “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PlaySora platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using PlaySora, you agree to these Terms.
1. Overview
PlaySora provides a user interface and management layer for the OpenAI Sora 2 API, enabling fast and intuitive video generation.
PlaySora is not an official OpenAI product. It is an independent third-party client built on top of publicly available OpenAI APIs.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use PlaySora.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account and Authentication
PlaySora supports sign-in via Firebase Authentication, including the following providers:
- Email/password
When signing in, only your basic account information (name, email, profile image, and provider ID) is received from the selected provider.
We do not store your password, nor do we have access to any third-party credentials.
4. Use of the Service
You agree not to:
- Use PlaySora for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purposes.
- Generate, upload, or share content that violates copyright, privacy, or any applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or overload the PlaySora or OpenAI systems.
In particular, you may not use the Service to generate or distribute:
- Deepfakes or realistic videos of real individuals without their consent.
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, or exploitative content.
- Content intended for political persuasion, harassment, hate, or discrimination.
- Content that violates OpenAI’s usage policies or applicable laws.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Tokens, Plans, and Payments
- Tokens represent prepaid usage credits for Sora 2 API generation and can be purchased as one-time packs or through recurring subscriptions.
- Pricing, token-to-usage ratios, and plan availability are displayed transparently in the interface before checkout.
- We use Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Billing Portal to process payments. During checkout we may share your name, email, internal PlaySora user ID, and price lookup key/quantity metadata with Stripe so we can reconcile the purchase with your account.
- All credit card and payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or security codes on our servers.
- By completing a payment, you also agree to Stripe’s terms and policies: <https://stripe.com/legal>.
- We store the resulting Stripe customer ID(s), subscription state, checkout session IDs, price lookup keys, invoice references, and token grant amounts in Firebase for fraud prevention, support, and bookkeeping.
- Token grants are only applied after Stripe confirms the payment through Checkout completion or webhook events (e.g., `invoice.payment_succeeded`). Suspicious, disputed, or refunded payments may result in the corresponding tokens being withheld or revoked.
- Tokens do not expire but are non-transferable and non-refundable unless required by law.
Refunds, if granted, will be issued back to the original payment method and processed in accordance with Stripe’s refund capabilities and timelines.
We may adjust pricing, conversion rates, or available plans with prior notice.
6. Subscription Renewals & Cancellations
Recurring plans renew automatically at the stated interval (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Stripe will bill the payment method on file at the start of each new term, and tokens are granted once Stripe confirms the invoice payment.
By starting a subscription, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next billing period.
You can update payment methods, download invoices, or cancel upcoming renewals at any time through the Stripe Billing Portal that is linked from the PlaySora dashboard. If you need help accessing the portal or managing a subscription, contact us at playsora.help@gmail.com.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time or tokens except where required by law. We may pause or terminate a subscription if Stripe reports payment failures, chargebacks, or suspected fraud.
7. Generated Content
You retain ownership of the outputs you generate, subject to OpenAI’s content and use policies.
By using PlaySora, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your generated videos for storage, playback, and sharing within your account and any explicitly enabled sharing features (e.g., Explore/public gallery) you opt into.
You are solely responsible for the legality, licensing, and distribution of your generated content.
8. Third-Party Services
PlaySora integrates external services such as:
- Firebase (for authentication, hosting, and database)
- OpenAI (for generation)
- Stripe (for billing and payments)
By using PlaySora, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for any downtime, changes, or issues caused by third-party services.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uptime, output accuracy, or API stability, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
PlaySora is not liable for interruptions or losses caused by OpenAI, Stripe, Firebase, or any other third-party providers.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlaySora and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where direct liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you in full.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access without prior notice if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in activity that we reasonably believe may cause harm to us, our infrastructure, other users, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and we may delete or restrict access to your data in accordance with applicable law and our data retention practices.
